Why would you use this?

  • Have you ever used a computer at work for personal business. Wouldn't it be great to your own computer at work !
  • You share your computer with others. Once you remove the Flash Drive there is no way for your fellow users to get to your data.
  • If the drive is lost or stolen your data is still safe, the VirtualBox Encrypted Drive can only be accessed by you.

Although the Flash Drive is 8Gig or more the File System is limited to 4Gig due to FAT32 limitations. The listed Distributions are those that are under 2G and also have the VBoxClientAdditions installed.

The remaining Encrypted drive space is available for storage or other applications.

TrueCrypt Inline Compression Utility
TrueCrypt runs on:
Windows, Vista, Mac, Linux

    Instructions:

  • Choose your OS from above and Buy the VBox-Encrypted Flash Drive
  • Download and Install TrueCrypt before connecting the Encrypted Flash Drive to your computer.
  • Connect the Encrypted Flash Drive
  • Enter the Pass Key
  • Mount the new drive in TrueCrypt
  • Run VirtualBox
  • From the VirtualBox Console, Create/Attach to the Virtual Disk Image on the Encrypted Drive
  • Start the Virtual Machine

You are now free to move about the internet.

When you are done. Unmount the drive and remove it from the computer.
